Oliver's Pre-K Graduation

Oliver had his graduation from Pre-K the morning after our return from our California trip.  We got home so late the night prior that he was not in the mood to go because he wanted to play at home, surprise, surprise.  Had I known it would require the same amount of patience as an 18 year old High School graduate, I probably would have thought twice about his attending.  65 children walked up one by one to receive a diploma and take a picture with their teacher.  It was pretty long but they all hung in there.  Oh man, though,  he looked darling and I am so happy to watch this amazing kid grow up.  I get pretty teary eyed thinking about it to be honest.  I think this picture will forever melt my heart.

Our Trip to California

Our trip to California was a blast!  We went there and stayed in one place for 5 nights.  We loved our time relaxing at the beaches, playing in the pool, enjoying the sun, riding bikes along Newport, nights playing and chatting around the fire pit.  It was seriously the best.  We loved hanging out together and none of us wanted it to be over.

This was one of our mornings getting breakfast at the delicious Beachcomber Restaurant at Crystal Cove Beach.  (You can tell by all of our great bed head!)  We just love it there.  The first day when we arrived we went straight here to see the beach and get lunch.  It was the best to see the boys running wild.  They just loved the waves.  It was really cute.  While I was brushing the sand off the boys feet to go to the restaurant, Robby motioned me to look over and I couldn't tell at first what he was trying to get me to notice until... oh!  I noticed!  He and Drew were chatting it up with Will Ferrill.  I said, "Hey!"  out loud, then realizing an instant later he has no idea who I am!  It was definitely more fun than we expected to have a celebrity run in.  We continued to check out their table while we ate our dinner.  George went up and asked him, "Are you the guy from Elf?"  He replied, "Ya, isn't that cool?"  Then George ran away.  He was super friendly.  Pretty funny.

Jane was at first very uneasy about the sand.  She didn't want much to do with it.  But as time went on, she warmed up and began to explore.  It was nice though, because she never wanted to run off too far.

Ah!  Basking in the sun!  Actually this day we were at Newport Beach and the wind was pretty brisk.  But we still got some sun, which we were definitely enjoying.

This was a great day at Huntington Beach with the rest of Robby's fam.  We were happy to get to be with the cousins...the kids loved it!
