A Day all Together

Here are all the Barlow grandkids. We can't believe they all sat so good. They were all so darling.  We got to spend the day at Tirzah and Shay's house in Corning, NY.  It was so fun!  Everyone was there except for Robby, Russ and Adam but all the kiddos and wives plus Dad and Shay were there.  We enjoyed delicious food that Tirzah and Mom made and enjoyed the dance party that Shay provided, and we can't forget to mention the wrestling match with Shay and the kids, and Mom's face while she watched Shay and Dad wrestle.  In fact Tirzah said, "Ann you should get a picture of Mom's face!"  It was so cute because she is always looking out for Dad's safety.  But let's be honest, someone needs to!  J/K, we love you Dad!

Anyway, Mom had bought eggs and candy for an Easter Egg Hunt.  Tess had filled them all and I think we counted 60 or so that we hid. The kids had a blast searching Tirzah and Shay's backyard for them all.  We then enjoyed a super yummy chocolate cake to celebrate Goerge's birthday together. I am still thinking of that cake actually.  I keep thinking I should make it and then I think, "why would I do that?  THen I'll just eat it."

Anyway, thanks to everyone for such a fabulous day all together.  My kids and I loved it!!!!!

My kiddos

The boys were laying with baby Jane and I said, "oh man, I need a picture.". And Oliver said, "I know, that's what I wanted to do." He's so funny how he likes to pose for pictures.

The kids are laying in my room that I lived kn from the time I was in 8th grade to 12th grade. Those years are really vivid in my mind. It is pretty sereal realizing all that has happened since high school and especially considering the way I used to be so dreamy about all the things I hoped for in my future.

I love coming home for many reasons. But of course because my parents are here and home will be here for me as long as they are here! I have tender memories of them here and love to come home and spend time with them and get taken care of. We have had our good chats every night in their room that I always loved. They are so good to me and I hope my kids will always live to be around me like I love to be around my parents, although I have to say I can't expect it for fear that I will be let down!

Nevertheless, it is special for me to be here and especially to have my kids making memories here with grandma and papa!

Our Day in Flight

The kids were so good! I am so happy to be in NY. While I took this picture little Janie was in the front pack that I was wearing. She did so great. The trip was not without incident. But the boys really impressed me with our 5 hour lay over in Chicago with really cheerful attitudes and lots of walking with little complaining. We had a really nice day together. I felt so blessed!

Hooray for Robby

Thanks Robby for setting up this quick and easy way to blog our daily life stuff that I don't want to forget. I am excited to start writing the every day things the kids do that I know I am going to forget later in my life! Because quite frankly even days later I try remembering certain things and don't remember the darling way they said it. Today is the day before we leave for our trip to see Grandma Ka and Papa Stan. NY here we come! It is packing central around here with the boys folding their own laundry for the first time which is awesome! Tomorrow will be Jane's first plane ride and the boys haven't been there since last August of 2008. So we are all so excited!
